Effective relative permeabilities and saturations calculated for fractions F between 0.005 and 0.995 for injection total rates varying from 0.1 to 1000 PV/d. The calculated number N₀ is shown, where high N₀ corresponds to high injection rate. Each curve is based on a fixed N₀, and each saturation on a given curve is obtained from one value of flow fraction. The reference (“true”) input relative permeabilities and capillary pressure curves were used and were only approximated by the effective curves at sufficiently high N₀. End effects are important at low N₀ and shift the saturations towards  = 0.61 and reduce the effective relative permeabilities.
