Architecture of the EVT plug-in HEV powertrain. The powertrain includes an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and a double rotor machine which can be regarded as an ordinary Electric Machine (EM2) and a dual rotor Electric Machine (EM1). The brake between the crank shaft and the inner rotor can be used to immobilize the inner rotor.
